Policy and Planning Division

Responsibilities

The Policy and Planning Division provides a coordinating role for the Agency and provides direct support to the Forestry and Agriculture executive on key policy and intergovernmental issues.

Services

  • Coordinating the development and review of resource policy and legislative requirements
  • Economic analysis of projects as well as maintaining statistics
  • Assisting with the preparation of the Agency's Strategic Plan and subsequent Annual Performance Reports
  • Coordinating departmental input into the Environmental Assessment Process
  • Coordinating all requests concerning Forestry and Agrifoods submitted under authority of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Maintaining the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency web site
  • Coordinating the review and preparation of cabinet papers related to forestry and agrifoods under direction of the Executive
  • Coordinating Forestry and Agrifoods input on Government initiatives such as Sustainable Development
